In those days when the foreign missionaries came to India, only the pastor had a Bible and not the members of the church. After some time very few people had the Bible. So people used to hear the Bible verses read by one man and they were able to memorize them. In 1883 Bishop of Chennai Rt. Rev. Whitefield paid a visit to the south zone. He was surprised to see the people of Nazareth telling the Bible verses from their memory. This fellowship was started by the Bishop Rt. Rev. Daniel Abraham in 1980. Palayamkottai is the Head Quarters. The Bishop of Tirunelveli Diocese is the president of this fellowship.
